Sanjayan Thuraisingam began playing cricket as a university student in India. His dedication and commitment to the game led him to become Canada's top wicket-taker at the 2001 ICC Trophy. His 5 wickets for just 25 runs brought Canada's cricket team to the World Cup on July 17, 2001. He played three matches in the 2003 Cricket World Cup, and has since played a further 6 One Day Internationals for Canada. He has also represented Canada in two ICC Intercontinental Cup matches and the 2005 ICC Trophy. His effortless contribution to the Centurions Elite division and other division continues even to this date. Sanjay obtained his Level 2 Certification from Cricket Australia and began coaching cricket clinics in 2013.
Balaji Rao marked his 2000-2001 season with a revival of fortunes who made a precocious entry into first class cricket before turning 17 years. Playing for India youth in January 1995 against an England ‘A’ team, he mopped up seven wickets. After immigrating to Canada and qualifying to play for the Country, Balaji made international debut against West Indies in 2008. He has played one, “One Day International” and four “20 Internationals” for Canada. Balaji continues to be a great asset to the Centurions Elite Division.
